DiRT Rally 2.0

Έχω την απλή έκδοση Day One

We’re taking your feedback incredibly seriously, and we are giving this the time and investigation it deserves.

We know we need to strike a fine balance between the large number of players who are happy with the FFB, and those of you who want an experience closer to the original DiRT Rally.

We’ll continue to keep you informed of our progress – and once we’re happy with the update, we’re hoping to announce plans which will enable some of you to playtest it before we roll it out to everyone.

  • Aside from Season One content coming out as usual, we’re also working on Update 1.3 which, subject to all of the usual submissions, is due to land next week. Thanks to everyone’s feedback since the last update, as we’ve been able to isolate and fix some key issues, including the grip/floating car issues some users have been experiencing. We’ve also worked on preventing audio-cut outs, and have fixed the ‘Fire Up That Car... Again’ trophy/achievement. Full patch notes will be confirmed on our channels closer to it releasing, so please stay tuned over the following few days to see them surface.
  • We’re also making some headway into tackling the FFB issues a lot of you have been discussing on our forums, channels and beyond. We’ll have more for you on that soon, but we just wanted to reassure you that it’s still top of our priority list and that we’re making progress.
  • What else? Well, we’ll also be adding more DiRT Rally 2.0 Achievements and Trophies for Season One! But you’ll have to wait until next week to find out what they are. ?
  • Finally, we’ll also be adding the wonderful Jon Armstrong’s 2019 Galway International Rally livery to the game next week! We’ll be holding a little competition once the Fiesta R5 livery is out, so stay tuned to see how that takes shape. Just in case you’ve forgotten what it looks like, here’s a handy reminder for you in the shape of the DiRT Show Galway Special!

Force Feedback changes  update 1.4.1

  • The latest update to arrive to DiRT Rally 2.0 this morning – update 1.4.1 – is primarily focused upon updating the Force Feedback for steering wheels. After looking into comments about the feel from all parts of our community, we’ve changed the way the ‘Suspension’ setting works to try and exhibit the behaviours that you’ve been requesting. For this update the slider has been set at a default level of 100 for all devices, but this can be changed to suit your preferences.
  • If you prefer the way things felt previously, then simply head to the Input section of the Options & Extras menu, select your device and then adjust the ‘Suspension’ slider in the Vibration & Feedback tab to 0.
  • We want to give a huge thanks to the entire community for their feedback and patience while we’ve looked into implementing these changes – especially to those of you who’ve taken the time to come back to us with incredibly useful, nuanced feedback about your FFB experiences. It’s worth mentioning that while this is the first big update to the FFB, it’s definitely a work in progress and we plan to refine the feeling further. Please – let us know what you think.
  • While we’re on inputs, our Principal Game Designer Lee and Senior Programmer Adrian have put together a super handy Input Device Guide for DiRT Rally 2.0. You can take a look at it in all of its PDF glory here.

DIRT RALLY 2.0 – SEASON 2, WEEK 1 – AVAILABLE JUNE 4

NEW CARS:

a.thumb.jpg.7023e696023cb53ae4f6f8d9321dcd82.jpg

Group B Rallycross is here!

Week 1 sees the release of the first 2 cars in this Class, the Peugeot 205 T16 Rallycross and the Ford RS200 Evolution. Group B rally cars are some of the most fearsome and spectacular in DiRT Rally 2.0 and the thrills are set to continue on the Rallycross circuits with these 2 machines.

If you’re a Deluxe Edition or Season Pass owner both cars will be automatically added to your My Team garage, and no matter how you own the DLC both cars are available in Free Play, Time Trial and Multiplayer. Both cars will have 5 selectable liveries in-game, the defaults you see here plus 4 custom designs.

As always, if you’re not a DiRT Rally 2.0 Season owner the vehicles are available for purchase individually. You may need to download items from the store for them to appear in-game.

Now, let’s look at these 2 mighty machines!

PEUGEOT 205 T16 RALLYCROSS

b.thumb.jpg.070eebaba7a633e6c3287003fe0a7573.jpg

The Peugeot 205 T16 was purpose built for Group B rally and cemented itself as one of the most successful cars in its group. The car was, like many of its rivals, modified for use in rallycross, becoming a successful front-runner in Europe. Modifications included a new aero kit, an extreme rear wing, and increased engine power output.
• Max Power: 480 bhp
• Max Weight: 960 kg
• Engine: 1775 cc, 4 cylinders
• Aspiration: Turbo
• Transmission: 5 Speed – Manual
• Mid-Engined, 4WD

FORD RS200 EVOLUTION

c.thumb.jpg.2633cd607018d4ee012fe4c9d37aefdb.jpg

The Ford RS200 never had the opportunity to shine in Group B rally. This changed however, when the car was entered into its first European Rallycross Championship event. The car demonstrated incredible performance characteristics, winning multiple events between 1986-1992, and winning the championship in 1991. Typically producing around 580 hp, the RS200 could accelerate from 0-60 in a little over 2 seconds.

• Max Power: 450 bhp
• Max Weight: 1180 kg
• Engine: 1803 cc, 4 cylinders
• Aspiration: Turbo
• Transmission: 5 Speed – Manual
• Mid-Engined, 4WD

OTHER BONUSES:

d.thumb.jpg.957e1a1ad03a260f3b4a5e19662ca25e.jpg

Season owners will also be able to access a new livery for the following cars:
• Lancia Fulvia HF
• Opel Kadett C GT/E
• Ford RS200 (Rally)
• Volkswagen Polo GTI R5
• SUBARU WRX STI Rallycross

Finally, Season owners will receive their Credits drop on June 4: a 200,000 CR boost to help with buying, upgrading and repairing their cars.

The next DLC location (Latvia RX) is only 2 weeks away, coming on June 18!
